shoulder-width apart

Tracy Anderson, Madonna's personal trainer

If you've seen paparazzi photos of fitness pals Madonna or Gwyneth leaving the gym together, chances are good that celeb fitness trainer Tracy Anderson was in the background, and you just didn't notice her. She's more or less Madonna and Gwyneth's secret weapon. (And BTW, have you seen Madonna's arms lately?!) Here, Tracy shares her signature moves for svelte arms.

These moves don't require any weights, and Tracy recommends trying to do 20 reps at a time, and then slowly moving up to 50 reps when you gain more strength:

Pinkie Flip Up Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, arms out to sides and slightly bent at shoulders, and elbows pointing up (keep your hands relaxed). As you straighten your arms, flip pinkies to ceiling, extend fingers out as far as possible, and lift your arms slightly above shoulders.

Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) is a behavioral disorder found in children (including teenagers) that causes problems in their relationships with parents, teachers and other authority figures. A oppositional defiant often loses their temper, argues with adults, refuses to follow rules, deliberately annoys others, is easily annoyed, blames others for his or her own behavior, and acts angry, resentful, spiteful and vindictive. Help! Should I Have a Third Baby or Stop at Two?

families were

You guys have been so great at giving advice on all kinds of topics here on Glamour.com--Joanna's wedding dress and Petra's wedding hairdo, for example. So, why not get your thoughts on babies? I know, I just had one--well, 6 months ago--but I'm really struggling with whether I should start giving all the baby clothes away, or whether I should, gulp, try for three...

So, it's been a while since I've posted kid photos, so I thought I'd share! Here are my little men, photographed by my photographer pal Wendi.

This is my 2-year-old, Carson:

And my little guy, Russell, who is almost 6 months old:

Here's the deal: I come from a semi-large family. I'm the oldest of four kids (here's a really goofy photo me and the sibs back in the day). I've always thought that large families were fun and small families were, well, boring--until I became a mom. Truth be told, motherhood is just as joyful and wonderful as it is exhausting and overwhelming. This all makes family planning a little, well, complicated.

Smoking Sucks: According to the Latest News, Even a Little Smoke Can Damage Your Cells

smoke exposure

Do you ever find yourself waving your hands in front of your face and flashing a disgusted look when a smoker exhales in your path? I admit, I do--especially now that I'm pregnant. Everyone knows the dangers of second-hand smoke, but most people chalk up a little minor exposure now and then as unavoidable and generally harmless. Um, that's just not true. Results of a major study show that when you see a smoker, it's best to get out of her way. Here's why ...

Now there's more reason than ever to feel justified about that annoyed glance when a smoker rudely blows smoke in your path (sorry for my lack of manners, but I just think that's plain rude!): The bit of smoke you're inhaling in passing could have the power to damage your cells.

Acne - Causes, Symptoms And Treatments

skin cells

Acne is a common skin problem for most teens and many adults. Acne occurs when the skin's follicles become blocked with sebum and dead skin cells. The overproduction of sebum in the skin provides an environment ready for the bacterial overgrowth of Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) bacteria. This overgrowth of bacteria causes inflammation, leading to inflamed lesions. Acne lesions range in severity from blackheads (open comedo) and whiteheads (closed comedo) to pustules, papules and cysts. Acne generally appears on the face, chest and shoulders, but may also occur on the back, arms, legs, and buttocks.
