In Canada, the figures for obesity have increased by 5% in child obesity ( 3%-8%) and a more dramatic increase in adults by 9% (14%-23%). Obesity brings with it an increased risk of type-2 diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and cancer.

As stevia has no calories or carbohydrates, it acts as a great weight loss aid and digestive aid. Stevia contains an abundance of phytonutrients and trace minerals. Stevia is an ideal natural sweetener alternative for sugar and artificial sweeteners such as aspartame. Stevia helps minimize cravings for sweets, fatty foods and helps with addictions to tobacco and alcohol. Replace sugar in any recipe with a healthier alternative…stevia. Ever wondered why your children had so much energy after drinking Koolaid…it might have something to do with the cup of sugar you put in it. Replace the sugar in Koolaid with liquid stevia and not only will you see the difference in how hyper your children are but stevia is a natural antibacterial, so it is good for there teeth as well.

Purdue University's Dental Science Research Group has done three special studies. The first demonstrated that Stevioside is 100% compatible with fluoride. The second showed that Stevioside "significantly" inhibits plaque growth. The third indicates close to a 20% reduction in cavities. The researchers called this "statistically significant." Weight loss is not an over night miracle but a total lifestyle change. From eating healthy, exercise and a positive frame of mind, weight loss needs an all round approach.
